How Do I Meet People?
Youth Ministry
Each Sunday morning, children get to participate in their own classes. Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every child gets to participate and learn. Each of the class teachers is carefully screened and thoroughly trained in children’s instruction. The youth ministry of Waxhaw United Methodist Church is recognized for their close interaction.
United Methodist Men
UMM meet on the first Sunday of each month at 7:00 am for Bible study and at 7:30 am for breakfast. They do various service projects such as helping build houses, helping in disaster areas and helping fellow members of the church. All men are invited. United Methodist Women
UMW meet on the first Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm in the Frankie Thompson classroom. They have studies and programs each month with special events and projects during the year. All women are invited. Here is the link to the national UMW website: http://new.gbgm-umc.org/umw/
Adult Choir
Music is an important part of our church and our worship service. The choir meets on Wednesday evenings in the sanctuary at 7:00 pm. They perform various cantatas especially at Easter and Christmas. Voices are always needed and we believe he who sings prays twice!
Busy Bees
Busy Bees, a group for Senior citizens, meets on the second Thursday of each month at 6:00 for dinner. Meetings consist of church news, bible study, various speakers and fellowship. Occasional day trips are also offered.
