Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Church Nursery Provider to care for infants and young children during church services and related activities. This role offers an opportunity to support families by providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, strong caregiving skills, and a genuine passion for early childhood development. The position requires a responsible individual committed to creating a positive experience for both children and their families.
Responsibilities
• This role would be from 9:45am - 12:15pm every Sunday
• Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities within the nursery setting
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times
• Follow established safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming nursery environment
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's needs and any concerns
• Assist with diapering, feeding, and comforting children as needed
• Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive social interactions
• Collaborate with church staff to coordinate activities and schedules
• Adhere to all policies related to childcare, including confidentiality and health guidelines
Experience
• Prior experience in childcare, daycare, preschool, or classroom settings is preferred
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific needs
• Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
• Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable
• Background in early childhood education, babysitting, nannying, or caregiving roles is beneficial
• Familiarity with behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies
• Experience working with infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children is preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and abilities
