Let's kick off the holiday season with some DIY fun! We will be making Christmas ornaments on Thursday, November 9th at 6:30 pm in the fellowship hall. Materials will be provided. Cost is $10 to make 4 ornaments. You may bring your own Christmas napkins or cotton Christmas fabric or use what is provided. Please RSVP to amy@waxhawumc.com so we can prepare enough materials and snacks. ‍

Youth! Come join the fun this Sunday! We will be enjoying pizza followed by a scavenger hunt! We encourage you to bring your friends!

This Sunday, November 5th at noon, we will share in a Thanksgiving feast following the service. The church will provide turkeys and everyone that attends is asked to bring potluck sides and/or desserts to share.

Purchase a poinsettia in honor or memory of a loved one to help decorate our sanctuary for Christmas!

Youth! Please meet at the arbor on Sunday afternoon, October 22nd at 5:30 p.m. We will play volleyball and make s'mores at the fire pit! Please bring your friends so that we will have even more fun!

Glory Way will entertain us with some awesome gospel music on Sunday, September 24th at 6 pm. We hope you will join us outdoors on the lawn by the arbor for an evening of worship through music! Please bring your own lawn chair. In case of rain, we will move into the sanctuary. Love offerings are welcome to help the group pay for travel expenses.

You are invited to enjoy lunch with friends on Tuesday, September 7th at 11:30am in the fellowship hall. We will have chicken casserole, salad, fruit and desserts. Pastor Norma will host a time of prayer and meditation on Thursday evenings in the sanctuary beginning on August 31st. The time will be 6:30 pm to 7:15 pm. You are invited to come. Bring your family, your friends or just yourself. Pastor Norma will lead us and will read some scripture. She may even teach us a few things about prayer, meditation, and fasting and how these things can positively impact our spiritual and physical lives.

August Lunch Bunch features baked chicken, baked potatoes, salad, and homemade desserts. Hope you will join us!!

Join us on Sunday, June 25th to celebrate Pastor John and his family. We want to give them a warm sendoff as they begin a new chapter. We will miss having all of them at our church but wish them well as they journey on! We will grill hamburgers and hotdogs and ask that the congregation bring sides to go along with those. All are welcome to come, enjoy lunch and fellowship with the McGills. Our new volleyball court is finished so that will be available for play and we will also have corn hole boards out.

Save the date! We will celebrate our graduates on Sunday, June 11th at 10 am with a potluck brunch in the fellowship hall. Please bring a dish or two to share and help us surround our graduates with support and encouragement as they begin their next steps in life! Also, if you would like to encourage our graduates with a card, please bring those to the brunch.

Our next Lunch Bunch gathering will be Tuesday, June 6th at 11:30 am in the fellowship hall. We will enjoy ham, homemade mac and cheese, green beans and dessert. Plates are $7/each and free for first time guests! We hope you will bring a friend and join us!

An early childhood music program for children ages 18 months through 4 yrs old. The program is a parent/caregiver and child experience designed to introduce children to the wonderful world of music through the use of instruments, dance, vocalizations, dramatizations and play.

We will welcome a visiting middle school choir from Trinity on the Hill UMC to participate in our 11 am worship service on Sunday, April 30th, 2023. We hope you will join us for this special treat!

You are invited to bring some flowers from your yard (or some that you have purchased) Sunday morning and add them to our flower cross in front of the church as is our tradition.

Holy Week service schedule

Waxhaw United Methodist Church will have an Ash Wednesday service on February 22nd at 6:30 pm in the sanctuary. This is a special service in the Christian calendar that signals the beginning of Lent.
